PRESENTATION How to add value as a Non-Executive Director Ten real life experiences and tips from a veteran, how to convey value during an interview and differentiate yourself, preparation of Board Meetings where you aim to add demonstrable value, how to make clear points effectively, how to bring the Board together after a difficult and challenging debate, how to justify your fees on a sustainable basis and how to leave the Board always "wanting more" of your contribution. 2. MASTER CLASS Value adding techniques for Non-Executive Directors and Women Board Members in an interview and in the Board Room i. The basics ii. How to be prepared to make a point iii. Rejoin the main group and share one or two Strategic thoughts in front of the whole group, then to discuss how to improve 3. DISCUSSION regarding Strategic Challenges faced by Companies and setting the Non-Executive Directors' expectations. 4. ROLE PLAY – Mock Board Meeting: Now a Violet favourite. A topic will be picked, a CEO and CFO will be nominated, Mark Mills will be Chairman and you will be the Non-Executive Directors, challenging the Board and working through a topic. If the Mock Board Meetings from March and April 2012 are anything to go by, after many fits of laughter, everybody will learn a lot! 5. FEEDBACK AND CLOSE Course by Mark Mills.
